Summer of Fun Checklist

When I was young I could remember looking forward to camping each summer. We would take the pop-up for two weeks to Alex Bay and just camp...no tv, or phones just books and family time. With an attempt to get back to some sort of simplicity,  Kristeen and  I decided to challenge ourselves to see if we could avoid spending hundreds of dollars to keep the kids entertained this summer. Syracuse has plenty of fun options for kids to participate in that don't cost a penny. With our already busy schedules our goal was to try and do something fun at least once a week. While some activities require a small fee (like cash for delicious ice cream), we are trying our best to keep the kids going with fun activities that our area has to offer.
 It's been such a success so far!

Activity 1: 
Library time! 

McKenzie was able to get her own library card....p.s she already lost it in her bedroom somewhere...

You think it was Christmas,...they are so excited to head to the library for new books each week....
