Polar Express December 2013

This year was a special year for us. Tony, who usually is stuck working weekends was able to join us on the Polar Express. It has become a yearly tradition thanks to Gramma....the girls look forward to it, and it's nice to know they finally understand the Polar Express. They loved the hot chocolate, cookies, singing and talking with Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year was also special because the girls were able to share it with their cousin Lila and Uncle Chris. It was nice watching her experience the train ride for the first time. It was a wonderful way to share and start our Christmas season.

Quick photo shoot before the train ride.....

Why so serious!?

We made it to the NORTH POLE!

Tony was picked to start singing Jingle Bells....

Kenz asked for Lego's (awesome, can't wait to step on those)

Riley kept it simple and asked for chocolate (that's my girl)

Santa spent a little extra time with us....he explained to us what his silver key was used for when Kenz asked him.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Thanksgiving was amazing. Thanksgiving was also very relaxing and low key, which is a big change for us. Usually we are running around like crazy people,....this year it was different,...a nice change from the chaos that we are accustomed to. We did not celebrate Black Friday, nor did we even think about heading to any stores that day....instead we just laid around, ate leftovers, and watched movies. It was pretty awesome. Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving...I limited my picture taking so I could just take it all in and be present this Thanksgiving...we have a lot to be thankful for....

Nap time with the beast

Riley felt the need to wear make-up to PaPa's house.

Can we take one nice picture without that tongue?! It's kinda her thing lately.

Kenzie was incredibly proud of her pilgrim hat she made at school. She wore it EVERYWHERE!

Getting a picture of the girls have been impossible lately.

A much needed family picture. November 2013

After dinner at my parent's house the girls decorated the tree....

Uncle Bobby was a big help.

My Dad and Bogey. Turkey coma....

Late night cold turkey sandwiches....

Riley, Ted Ted and Bogey cuddle time....

And of course.....our good ol' Elf on the Shelf Buddy showed up again with PJ's in hand for the Polar Express.

I know it's late....but Happy Thanksgiving! We really do have a lot to be thankful for!
