Mini shooters soccer 2013

It's hard to believe that we are starting a new season of soccer....it couldn't be more welcomed. After a long winter with endless snowy nights....it's nice to be outside, under the sun, breathing in the fresh air. The girls are equally excited. They were itching to get to practice even though the sky was swirling with dark clouds. Lucky for us...the rain held out and we made it home just in time. Here are some pictures from the first night of practice. My little super-stars (insert proud Mommy voice here)

score!

I'm so happy they can experience these memories together.

Happy Memorial Day! Now eat some cheesy "crack" bread!

PS....everyone loved it!!! I'm making it again this friday <3

Pizza and shmoorreeesss night

One of the best parts about Fridays is our weekly pizza nights. At first it started as an occasional get together to eat pizza (it really was just an excuse to eat pizza...let's be honest...it's always better when you eat with someone else....you don't feel as bad)..but since turned into a friday night extravaganza of homemade pizzas, buffalo chicken won tons, and mojitos....yummy! And now that it's summer (okay, I know it's not summer YET, but I'm thinking summer since our spring has been so-so). The girls were so happy to introduce their friend carter to the world of shmores.....yes....shmooress...don't judge me.

Mother's Day Tea Party

It's still hard to believe that I am a Mom,...not to one child, but two amazingly beautiful little girls. I am blessed, and I remind myself of that almost daily as I watch other families struggle with issues that are out of their control. It's hard to really spend a moment letting a complaint slip from my lips when so many families are waiting for news from the doctor, or test result.  Although motherhood is hard at times, it's completely worth it. All of the moments laughing at Riley's "Riley-isms", or McKenzie's sassy attitude justifies my decision to be a Mom. At the end of the day it doesn't matter that Riley smeared poop everywhere, or went fishing in the toilet, or wont eat anything but broccoli, or the 3000 questions McKenzie asks in the three minute car ride to the store,..or the fact that she gets up an extra ten times after putting her to bed just to say "I love you",....because at the end of the day, I am blessed.
