We've been busy this month. Which is probably why I am trying to fit a months worth of posts into one or two longer posts. It's hard to believe that yesterday was the last day of October. The leaves have almost completely fallen, the skies are gray, and you can feel that winter chill in the air. Here is what we've been up to, in no particular order, since honestly, I don't even remember what we did first =) It's been one of those months.
McKenzie's Preschool field trip to The Hollow
Originally Tony and I weren't going to be able to go with McKenzie on this field trip because we were both working =( Then, because of some nice gusty winds, and cold rain it was cancelled and rescheduled. Amazingly enough it was rescheduled on the same day I had parent teacher conferences in the afternoon, giving me the morning off. I never get to do things like this with Kenz...it made the day extra special.
Learning about pumpkins.
When the woman asked what squirrels eat, McKenzie replied, "OUR PUMPKINS!" which is a true statement. My Dad thinks this means it will be a bad winter, I think the squirrels saw our pumpkins as an easy meal. Nonetheless, everyone laughed.
McKenzie collected about 100 seeds to plant for next year. She was so proud. When she got home Mac ate about 50 and Riley lost the other 30,...and now we have 20 floating around the house.
She could not get over how weird the gourds looked.
(That's what she said?)
McKenzie's 4 year old Preschool class
One of her two favorite parts of The Hollow. The corn sandbox. Awesomely, ginormous sensory table! And, we figured out that day you can fit about 21 four year olds in there =)
